Have you eaten yet?
Sharing food is such a central part of Thai life that “have you eaten yet?” is a common Thai greeting, often followed by an invitation to eat.
Thai Street’s recipes have been tweaked to perfection over multiple generations of Chef/Owner Kesorn Imsin’s family. Using traditional techniques and ingredients we create dishes that allow you to experience authentic Thai street food and regional specialties. Inspiration for our food has been sourced from the streets of Phetchabun (Kesorn’s hometown) to some of the finest restaurants in Bangkok.
We’ll take you on a journey to Pratu Phi with our signature Pad Thai then to Charoen Krung Road with our melt-in-your-mouth Kao Ka Moo! We like to keep you guessing “what’s next?” and are always exploring new recipes, ingredients, and techniques in our rotating specials.
ABOUT US
THAI STREET STORY
When Kesorn Imsin (from Phetchabun Province in Northern Thailand) and John Hartzell (from Buffalo, NY - home of hot wings) met in 2011, it was love at first sight... love for delicious and often spicy food, that is.
Before long, we decided to share our love of Asian food and culture with the city of Baltimore. Thai Street started out in 2016 selling our signature Kao Ka Moo and Pad Thai at local farmers markets and Thai temples. The following year we branched out to serving at festivals and popping up at restaurants, expanding our recipe repertoire and gaining devoted fans. Before long, we realized it was time to go “all in” and make a career out of our passion. Thai Street has become a Baltimore staple since opening at Broadway Market in 2019.
In 2024 the next chapter of Thai Street’s story started with the opening of a second location in Red Lion, Pennsylvania at the new Franklin Street Social. We’re so excited to be bringing the food we love to more people than ever before.
Making other people happy with food has always been our goal, and it is something we truly love. The feeling we get from watching someone enjoy one of our dishes is comparable to none.
